A Few Of My Favorite Things
Can you believe I actually went to a mall yesterday...because I can't!!!
My aversion for crowds and chaos has always steered me clear of the holiday shopping craze.
Oh how I love my credit card and computer. Gift wrapping and mailing all done for you!
Anyway, the mall was not such a horrific experience. I did go to one of the largest malls on the East Coast so maybe that helped disperse the thousands of people scurrying around.
All said it was a holly jolly afternoon with my family.

Witching Season
Every year I throw a huge Halloween Bash in my front yard to celebrate "The Witching Hour".
Throughout the years it has grown from an intimate friendly get together to an all out Spookfest.
My hubby even gets into the haunted holiday by creating animitronic creatures / monsters to frighten curious neighbors.
The best part of the night is to see my friends show up in their costumes.
Witches, demons, ghosts, even a Rodeo Clown were all homemade.
Here is a list of some sources for you to create your own "Spooky Get Up".
Gauze by the roll is a great way to make your own zombie, or mummy. It is so easy to work with and you can tint it to your
desired color with box dye or tea bags.
Crinoline, like gauze can be purchased on line or at a fabric shop. In this pic I tattered a piece of pearlescent crinoline, and layed it over a white princess dress. The effect was quite ghostly.
A cool option is to use Duct Tape to create accessories or the whole costume. Duct Tape now comes in a variety of colors and patterns. Here is a pic of a dress I found on line.
Second Hand Shops are another great way to find your one of a kind pieces. A friend just told me he purchased a purple velvet jacket from Salvation Army. Hmmmm, I wonder what /who he is going to be????? These are definately one of a kind witch boots purchased from a second hand shop.
I also love these glittery headbands from SPARKLY SOUL. Perfect for a princess or a witch.
